Engage Energy & Industrial Consulting was founded in 2015 by Donald Racey. Don brings the unique ability to guide organizations through significant business transformations. Don is the primary architect behind Engages’ innovative project implementation approach and is a passionate advocate for socially conscious and sustainable business processes. Don is a sought-after speaker and author creating articles, blogs, and hosting the “Engage with Energy podcast.” Don is an expert in the field of Asset Lifecycle Management, Business Transformation, Sustainability, and ESG Strategy.

Prior to founding Engage, Don served as Managing Director of Corporate Finance – Turnarounds and Restructuring for FTI Consulting, headquartered in Washington, D.C. At FTI, Don focused on creating performance improvement programs for leading energy and industrial companies. Don joined FTI after serving as Senior Vice President, Operations for Reliability Management Group, Inc. (RMG) based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At RMG, Don was responsible for all aspects of business development and the management of RMG’s portfolio of client engagements.

Don has worked with all levels of client organizations—from the boardroom to shop floor and field—to lead business process changes. Additionally, Don has worked across a diverse range of clients in the energy value chain including upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas. Much of Don’s work has been focused on regulatory initiatives as a primary driver of change.

Don holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University. Don is a Six Sigma Black Belt and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Don has published articles including:

Meagan Reed

Prior to joining Engage, Meagan served several local businesses to enhance their social media and marketing efforts through her firm, Meagan Reed Consulting. Meagan also has several years of experience in property operations management. In addition, Meagan has served as an adjunct professor in the communication departments at Slippery Rock and Clarion Universities, teaching classes such as Business and Professional Speaking, Advertising Production, and Digital Imaging.

Meagan also brings experience in donor relations, fundraising, and civil engagement. She has served on the boards of WQED as well as the Alpha Omega Center. Meagan has volunteered with the Olde Town Grove City Marketing Committee and helped with the marketing for the launch of Robin’s Home, Supportive Housing for Women Veterans, and their Children.

Meagan has a Master of Arts in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Slippery Rock University.

Joshua is a trustworthy and values-driven leader who has a track record of success through selfless accountability and broad competencies.  This has not only resulted in record-breaking financial performance, but also world-class Customer Satisfaction (NPS), Employee Engagement, and award-winning management system execution (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18000, GMP).  Unlike conventional consultants and industry insiders, he combines both knowledge-based decision making and innovative management.

He most recently completed the turnaround and evolution of Toronto-based engineering and building equipment manufacturer, Vibro-Acoustics, the largest North American division of the Swedish industrial conglomerate Swegon AB.  In a little over three years, he helped orchestrate the comprehensive turnaround of the newly acquired division from an EBIT-loss to double-digit EBIT margin and the most profitable year in the company’s 60-year history in 2020.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University where he was a four-year running back on the Varsity Football team and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.  The former Student-Athlete is now a Corporate Athlete and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys distance running, mountain biking, SCUBA diving, cross-training and camping with his family and friends.  A music and international food lover, he is always eager to celebrate wins and build relationships with teammates and colleagues at every opportunity.

Patrick Dunne, Managing Director

Patrick has over 25 years of operational experience, including 20 years in heavy manufacturing in the energy sector (GE Energy), and eight years of consulting with gas and electric utilities (FTI and Ankura Consulting). With a strong engineering background in power generation (gas, wind, and solar), Patrick also holds broad knowledge of supply chain, quality, and operational areas. His expertise in executing process and performance improvements, change management, and quality/operations systems has helped several gas and electric utilities solve critical business issues.

Patrick holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is Six Sigma certified as a Greenbelt, Blackbelt, and Quality Leader. He is also adept in lean manufacturing and quality auditing.
